After a period of designing, building, and preparing, we have been open since July 17 and have had the pleasure of welcoming our first guests. Camping de Achtertuin is a small-scale city campsite in Leiden, situated in the middle of the green Polderpark Cronesteyn, on the grounds of De tuin van de smid and close to the center of Leiden.
Sleep in one of our fully equipped tents, choose a pitched tent with your own camping gear, or book a campsite for your own tent.

Camping de Achtertuin is open all year round. You can also camp here in autumn and winter and experience how different the polder feels then. From long summer evenings outdoors to crisp winter mornings among the meadows: every season has its own atmosphere here.

Camping de Achtertuin is a quiet city campsite in the polder of Leiden.

Choose from six fully equipped tents, one pitched tent for campers with their own equipment, or opt for one of the small pitches for your own tent.
Located on the grounds of De tuin van de smid, in the middle of Polderpark Cronesteyn, the campsite combines the best of two worlds: peace and nature on the one hand, liveliness and conviviality on the other.
At De tuin van de smid, you can enjoy a good cup of coffee, homemade cake, a relaxed lunch, drinks in the sun, or one of the cozy dinner evenings.
Settle down at one of the spacious, car-free tent sites, walk through the polder, visit the animals on the grounds, and let go of the daily pace for a while.
